Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Venmara ("we", "us") for using Letter Verse. By installing or playing the game you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

Playing the game

Letter Verse is a word game. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to install and play it on your own devices for your own enjoyment. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer the app, or use it for anything other than playing.

Your account

You start as a guest, and your guest account is tied to your device. You can also create an account with a username and PIN, which lets you sign in on another device and keep your progress. An account is meant for one person, and you are responsible for keeping your PIN private. You can delete your account from the app's Settings, which removes it and its data from our servers.

Fair play

To keep the game fair and pleasant for everyone, you agree not to:

• cheat, use bots, or tamper with the app or its network traffic to gain an advantage;
• choose a display name or a school name that is offensive, hateful, or impersonates someone else;
• try to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
• use the game to harass, threaten, or harm other players, including through chat, messages, or gift notes;
• buy, sell, or trade coins, gifts, items, or accounts for real money or anything else outside the app.

Words are checked against a fixed word list, and public names are filtered, so a name that slips through the filter can still be removed if it breaks these terms.

Content you provide

The text you provide includes your display name, any school or club name you create, and, where these features are available, messages you send in a match or a conversation and notes you attach to gifts. You are responsible for what you write, and you grant us permission to show it to the players it is meant for as part of the game. Text is screened by a word filter, and we may remove any name or message that breaks these terms and suspend the account that sent it.

Coins, purchases, and gifts

Coins are the game's virtual currency. You earn them by playing and, where offered, by watching rewarded ads, and you may be able to buy them. You spend them on items in the game, such as cosmetics, hints, and gifts.

• Coins have no money value. They cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the app, and they are a licence to use a feature of the game, not property you own.
• Purchases go through your app store. Prices are shown before you buy, and the store's own terms apply to the payment. Refunds are handled by the store under its policy and the law where you live. If a purchase is refunded, what it gave you is taken back: its coins (up to your current balance), and any pass, season, or item it unlocked.
• Passes run for a stated time. A time-limited pass, such as the Rules Pass, lasts for the period shown when you buy it. Buying another adds time. It does not renew on its own.
• Gifts. You can send a gift, bought with coins, to a friend. A gift belongs to the person who receives it once it is sent and cannot be taken back. The recipient may keep it or, within the limits the app shows, turn it into coins worth part of its price.
• Limits and corrections. We set limits on earning, spending, gifting, and transfers to keep the game fair. We may correct a balance or remove items that were gained through a bug, cheating, or a refunded payment.
• Changes. We may change prices, items, and how coins are earned. If we ever close the game, unused coins and items end with it, except where the law gives you a right to a refund.

Ads

Letter Verse is free to play, with optional purchases, and is supported by ads: banners, full-screen ads between games and when you open the app, and rewarded ads you choose to watch. Ads are non-personalized and limited to family-safe content. How ad data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Our content

The app, its name, its artwork, its sounds, and the word graph behind the game are owned by Venmara or its licensors and are protected by law. Nothing in these terms gives you any right to them beyond playing the game.

Availability

We work to keep the game running, but we may update, change, pause, or stop parts of it, and the game may be unavailable from time to time. The game is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Venmara is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the game, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the app, which for a free app is zero.

Ending access

You can stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access for an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is harming the service or other players.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top and post the new version here. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, where Venmara is based, without regard to conflict of law rules.
