Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains what Letter Verse collects and why. Letter Verse is a word game made by Venmara ("we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@venmara.com.
The short version. You play as a guest, so we never ask for your name, email, or phone number. We collect the little we need to save your progress and run matches, plus standard crash and usage data to fix bugs. We do not sell your data, and the ads are non-personalized.
What we collect
Your guest account
You play without signing up. When you first open the app it creates a guest account tied to a random identifier generated on your device, together with a display name you can choose (or one we pick for you). We do not require your real name, email address, or phone number.
Your gameplay
We store your progress, scores, statistics, the words you have found, and your matches. This is what lets the game save where you are, run leaderboards, and put you into a game with other players.
Diagnostics and usage
Through Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, and Performance Monitoring) we collect crash reports, basic usage events, and performance measurements. We use these to find and fix bugs and to understand which parts of the game to improve. This data is about how the app runs, not about who you are.
Ads
The app shows banner ads through Google AdMob. Ads are requested as non-personalized by default, which means they are not based on tracking you across other apps and sites. Ad content is limited to a family-safe (G) rating.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not ask for your contacts, precise location, photos, or microphone.
- We do not build an advertising profile of you from your activity in the game.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that make the app work, and only so they can provide their service to us:
- Google Firebase for crash reporting, analytics, and performance. See Google's privacy information.
- Google AdMob for banner ads. See Google's advertising policies.
- Our own hosting, which stores your game data on our servers.
Where your data lives, and for how long
Your game data is kept while you use the app. Because your account is tied to your install, uninstalling the app or resetting your progress in Settings removes your local data, and reinstalling starts a fresh guest account.
How we protect it
Login tokens and other sensitive values are stored inside your device's secure keychain or keystore under encryption, not in plain files. Traffic between the app and our servers is sent over an encrypted TLS connection.
Children
Letter Verse is a general audience game. We keep ads non-personalized and family-safe, there is no chat or direct messaging between players, and public names are filtered. See our Child Safety page for the full picture, and please reach out if you have a concern about a younger player.
Your choices
You can reset your progress at any time from the app's Settings. Uninstalling removes the guest account on your device. If you would like to ask about the data associated with your account, contact us at info@venmara.com and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
